About MedPal Outreach

MedPal Outreach is a healthcare technology platform (ISV) that sends SMS text messages and automated voice calls to patients on behalf of participating healthcare clinics. Clinics integrate their electronic health records (EHR) system with MedPal Outreach to automate appointment reminders, scheduling confirmations, post-visit follow-ups, and care coordination messages.

SMS Communication Terms

Program name: MedPal Outreach

By consenting to receive SMS messages through MedPal Outreach, you agree to receive automated text messages related to your healthcare appointments and care coordination. Messages may include:

Appointment reminders and confirmations
Scheduling and rescheduling notifications
Post-visit follow-up messages
Recall notifications
Care coordination messages
New patient intake and registration

No marketing or promotional messages are sent. All messages relate directly to the patient's healthcare and appointments.

Consent & Opt-In

Patients provide consent to receive SMS messages during their healthcare provider's standard patient intake and registration process. The healthcare provider records this consent before any messages are sent through MedPal Outreach.

Consent may be collected through:

A consent checkbox on the clinic's patient registration form (paper or digital)
Verbal consent recorded by the clinic staff during intake
The online SMS Consent Form

Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the patient's appointment schedule and care needs. Patients typically receive 1–4 messages per appointment (reminder, confirmation, follow-up).

Opt-Out (STOP) Instructions

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages will be sent.

You may also contact your healthcare clinic directly to request removal from SMS communications.

Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. MedPal Outreach does not charge any fees for receiving messages. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Supported Carriers

MedPal Outreach SMS messages are supported on all major US mobile carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
